Once grabbed by a material or process Van Noort wants to unravel this to the essence. The information that is revealed during this research forms the foundation of the stories behind the final product. In 6:1 she reflects on the production process of immaculate white porcelain. This is extremely
damaging: one kilo of product is accompanied by six kilos of waste, and the mining changes landscapes once and for all. Colour, texture and structure of the waste are the source of this ceramic series. The abundance and diversity of the residue create an extra dimension of beauty, always in a 6:1 proportion.

Una volta conquistata da un materiale o da un processo, Van Noort vuole portarne alla luce l'essenza. L'informazione rivelata durante questa ricerca costituisce la base delle storie dietro il prodotto finale. In 6:1 riflette sul processo di produzione della candida porcellana bianca, estremamente dannoso: un chilo di prodotto è accompagnato da sei chili di scarto, e l'estrazione cambia il paesaggio una volta per tutte. Colore, texture e struttura dello scarto sono la fonte di questa serie di ceramiche. L'abbondanza e diversità del residuo creano una dimensione extra di bellezza, sepre in proporzione 6:1.
