Wrocław Congress Center Centennial Hall, from the 30th of June to the 31th of July 2016


Wroclaw, European Capital of Culture for the year, will guest the exhibition for one month. Opening on June 30th at Hala Stulecia, exhibition curated by Ewa Sulek.

Biennale of the Young European Art” is an international art project that represents current trends taking place throughout various types of European art. This multimedia exhibition represents a fresh perspective from original artwork alongside their intensity of expression and innovative concepts rendered in the contemporary arts.                                                                                                   
The main objective is to foster the artistic exchange in the form of a travelling exhibition across the participating countries.  The Exhibition focuses on presenting a wide range of creative abilities and talent from younger artists under the age 35 years old.                                                                                               
The exhibition will display their artistic journey over the last two years and will be represented by eight artists. The opening event in Wrocław will be accompanied by an installation created by Julia Curyło and Liza Sherzai , and will be placed in the city’s center.
The exhibition will display works of fifty six talented younger artists from Europe all of which will uniquely contribute to different fields of visual arts:  painting, graphics, photography, objects, installations and video. Poland will be represnted by:  Miłosz Flis, Michał Frydrych, Marcelina Groń, Kornel Janczy, Berenika Kowalska, Izabela Łęska, Tomasz Poznysz i Magdalena Sawicka. These acclaimed featured artists are recognized for their diversity of attitudes, individualism and the courage in their approach to media.
The initial opening of the Biennale was held in the fall of 2015 at the at the Le Beffroi in Montrouge near Paris, then move through Denmark (Hjørring) and to Poland (Wrocław), then Latvia (Cēsis), and in 2017 further to Italy (Como),Spain (Figueres) and Portugal (Amarante).
