Contemporary Art loves big size, immersive installations, interaction, set design, grandeur. I reserve for me another glance. Near, tactile. It's Insects, galls, chrysalises: little fragile things, to be observed with respect, without touching. It's a familiar but not intimistic dimension, as if we returned to the dawn of Natural Sciences reformulating questions in another way.
I don't care about private narrations behind the textures, or discourses of Gender. When I compare myself with Nature I'm not a woman but just a human being. I investigate emptiness, mutations, fluctuations, trying to define their borders. I study processes, biological cycles and their interactions, their limits.

L'arte contemporanea ama le grande dimensioni, le installazioni immersive, l'interazione, la scenografia, la grandiosità. Mi riservo un altro sguardo. Vicino, tattile. Insetti, galle, crisalidi: cose piccole, fragili, da osservare con rispetto, senza toccare. E' una dimensione intima, ma non intimista, come se si tornasse indietro agli albori delle scienze naturali, e si formulassero le domande in altro modo. Non mi interessano le narrazioni private dietro le trame, o i discorsi di genere. Quando mi confronto con la Natura non sono una donna ma un essere umano. Mi rapporto al vuoto, alle mutazioni, alle fluttuazioni; cerco di definirne i contorni. Mi interesso ai processi, ai cicli biologici, alle loro interazioni, ai loro limiti.
